Queensland Floods 2011

Flood Horror and Tragedy bookWhen the devastating floods of January 2011 hit Brisbane, Aqua-Tech's premises was under threat of flooding from nearby Norman Creek.

Our staff immediately engaged in helping local residents and businesses to sandbag their properties to safeguard them against the rising, muddy waters. Once the destructive floodwaters subsided our team involved themselves in the cleanup effort, providing food, equipment and valuable assistance to residents in flood-affected Brisbane suburbs, such as Chelmer and Oxley.

To provide ongoing assistance to flood victims, Aqua-Tech supported the Flood Horror & Tragedy initiative by purchasing a quantity of books which we distributed to our valued clients. The profits generated from the sale of this publication were donated to Australian Red Cross and other charities to support flood victims.

Queensland Floods 2013

Australian Red CrossIn January 2013, parts of Queensland were again devastated by bad weather. Authorities say more than 7500 people were affected by the disaster, with over 3000 homes flooded.

During this time, Australian Red Cross provided assistance through 19 recovery centres set up across the state. They also established the Queensland Floods Appeal 2013 in partnership with Queensland government to provide assistance to individuals, families and communities directly affected by the floods, tornados and storm damage.

Aqua-Tech proudly supported this appeal.

The Kids' Cancer ProjectThe Kids' Cancer Project

The Kids' Cancer Project is an Australian charity focused on finding cures for childhood cancer, such as brain tumours and neuroblastoma. This is time-consuming, painstaking specialist work, and it's an area where more money really does make all the difference.

Aqua-Tech supports The Kid's Cancer Project through regular monthly donations. We share their belief that 'every child with cancer should have the opportunity to grow up and live their dreams'.
